my life as a paleo eater / primal chick / cave girl … whatever you like best is fine with me. That’s me chompin’ on my pulled chicken and beet salad, wondering if i’ll have beef or bison for dinner, is this my life?? i just seriously can’t even believe it. Well i can, but if i would have told my previous self (5 years ago), “you’ll be craving meat one day, and yeah no more granola”, i would have slapped myself. But here i am, a full blown paleolithic creature. And it’s fan-freakin-tastic. I’m exactly 21 days in and it really hasn’t been that difficult. Sure, i miss my yogurt + granola but during this whole process I have found a bunch of great gluten free options for that every now and then “nola” craving. Like i said previously, I will most likely reintroduce dairy when the 30 days are up (mind you, the whole30 program is a very strict paleo challenge in order to cut cravings and reboot the bod) but my goal is to stick mostly to raw dairy products. Unless the government decides to continue on this path of douchebaggery and raid any and all nutritious goods that are left ugh! but that’s another post. ANYWAY, so far, so wonderful. As i’m sure you know (because i am beside myself with excitement) I am heading out this week for a long weekend trip to the beautiful city of Chicago FOR THE FIRST TIME! I am so pumped, my suitcase is already packed. And so is my paleo snack bag. Maintaining this lifestyle is not hard at all, and i’ve truly never felt better. But i’ve also never wanted a glass of red wine so bad….SOON ENOUGH! I feel myself getting stronger, leaner and just all around much more vibrant. I started to get really tired of my workout routine at the gym so I ordered myself a willPower + Grace DVD to integrate some barefoot fitness into my life. Next on the list is vibrams! I finally found a pair that fit -  Jaya // size 38 (in black duhh).  now I just need to lay off this ridiculous spending spree i’m on and make these my next purchase (when i have the extra $$). Oh yeah and i’m also dreaming of adding more lululemon pieces to my wardrobe….good grief, i need a higher paying job. signing out -A
